What this site collects

Short version: analytics, and an email address only if you hand one over. Payment details never touch this site.

Analytics

Every page loads Google Analytics 4 (property G-1QZD6PDRNQ), which records visits, pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and which links you click. It sets cookies in your browser to do that. It is used to understand which guides people look at — nothing on this site is personalised to you as an individual.

The site also stores the marketing parameters from the link you first arrived on (the utm_ values) in your browser's own localStorage, so that if you buy later we can tell which piece of writing brought you here. That value never leaves your browser except as part of the checkout link you click.

The Compass

The Compass asks eight questions and shows your result immediately, without asking for anything. If you choose to enter an email address to receive the full ranking, your answers and that address are sent to Formspree, a third-party form service, which passes them on to us by email. You can unsubscribe from anything we send, and you can ask us to delete the record entirely.

Buying

Checkout happens on Gumroad, not here. Card numbers, billing addresses and payment records are handled by Gumroad under their own privacy policy, and this site never sees them. What we see is what any seller sees in a Gumroad dashboard: the order, and the buyer's email address.

Hosting

The site is hosted on GoDaddy shared hosting, which keeps standard server logs — IP address, time, page requested — as part of running the server.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent or trade your details to anyone.
• We do not run advertising trackers or retargeting pixels on this site.
• We do not ask for any personal information beyond an email address, and only then if you volunteer it.

Removing your details

Email Bkingkade01@aol.com and ask. We will delete what we hold and confirm that we have. If you bought something, Gumroad keeps its own transaction record independently — that is a request you would make to them.

Children

Nothing here is directed at children, and the material assumes an adult who can legally start a business.
